Easy
More than 1 hour.
Preparation
Step 1
You can make the roll from any type of meat. The most important thing is that it should be boneless, without cartilage or sinew, and have minimal fat. Choose slightly moist cottage cheese without granules.
Step 2
Cut the meat into thin slices and pound them with a meat mallet.
Step 3
Place the pounded meat into a bowl. Add soy sauce, salt, and spices. Peel the garlic, crush it through a press, and mix everything well. Let the meat marinate for 30 minutes. When adding salt, keep in mind that soy sauce is already salty.
Step 4
To prepare the filling, wash and finely chop the herbs. Grate the cheese. Combine cottage cheese with herbs. Add butter, an egg, and grated cheese. Season with salt to taste.
Step 5
Thoroughly mix all the filling ingredients together.
Step 6
To form the roll, spread out a sheet of foil on the table. Lay out the meat slices slightly overlapping each other.
Step 7
Spread the prepared filling evenly over the meat.
Step 8
Use the foil to roll everything tightly into a log.
Step 9
Wash the tomatoes, remove the stems, and cut them into thin slices. Arrange the tomato slices around the roll.
Step 10
Wrap the roll in foil and place it on a metal baking tray. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 1–1.5 hours. The baking time may vary depending on your oven.
Step 11
The stuffed meat roll can be served hot or cold. Once cooled, it will be easier to slice. Cut into pieces, arrange on a serving platter, and enjoy!
