Advice
You can replace turkey with chicken or any other type of meat if you prefer. Just keep in mind that in this case, the cooking time and calorie content of the dish will change.
Preparation
Step 1
For cooking, choose boneless meat. The cream can be of any fat content. The optimal choice is cream with 22% fat. The higher the fat content, the richer the taste of the sauce.
Step 2
Cut the turkey meat into small pieces.
Step 3
Heat a frying pan until it’s hot and pour in a bit of vegetable oil. Add the chopped meat and sauté for 5-7 minutes. The meat will release some juice, but then it will evaporate, and the meat will start browning.
Step 4
Peel, rinse, and finely chop the onion. On another hot pan, add a bit of oil and sauté the onion for a couple of minutes simultaneously with the meat.
Step 5
Rinse the mushrooms, pat them dry, and cut each mushroom into 2-4 pieces.
Step 6
Add the chopped mushrooms to the pan with the onion. Sauté everything together for another 2-3 minutes.
Step 7
As soon as juice appears from the mushrooms, transfer the mushrooms and onions into the pan with the meat. Stir everything together. Add salt and spices. You can add a bit of curry as a spice. Cover the pan with a lid and cook everything over low heat for another 5-7 minutes.
Step 8
Then pour the cream into the pan. Bring it to a boil and heat for another couple of minutes.
Step 9
The turkey with mushrooms in cream sauce is ready! Serve hot with any side dish you like. Enjoy your meal!
