Table of volume measurements:
- teaspoon - 5 ml
- dessert spoon - 10 ml
- tablespoon - 20 ml
- glass - 200 ml
Preparation
Step 1
Choose boneless chicken. You can use fresh or frozen green peas. Use parboiled long-grain rice - it holds shape better and stays fluffy.
Step 2
Cook the rice in advance. Boil in hot water until tender (follow the instructions on the rice package - usually 15-20 minutes). Once done, strain through a colander and rinse with cold water to remove excess starch.
Step 3
Melt some butter in a skillet and fry the eggs, stirring constantly until cooked. Lightly salt them. Transfer the cooked eggs to a separate plate.
Step 4
Cut the chicken into small pieces. Sauté in vegetable oil for 7-10 minutes until fully cooked and lightly browned. Season with salt and spices. You can also add a bit of ginger for aroma.
Step 5
Peel, rinse, and chop the onion and carrot. Finely chop the onion and grate the carrot.
Step 6
Add the onion and carrot to the skillet with the chicken. Sauté for another 2-3 minutes until the vegetables soften and become aromatic.
Step 7
Add soy sauce and green peas. Stir everything together so the peas heat through evenly.
Step 8
Return the cooked eggs to the skillet.
Step 9
Add the boiled rice. Stir everything well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Step 10
Thai fried rice with chicken, egg, and vegetables is ready! Serve onto plates.
Step 11
Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh herbs before serving. Enjoy!
