Stewed Potatoes with Ground Meat

Step 1
You can use ground meat of any type or mix two kinds. I’m using pork mince. Peel the potatoes and rinse them to remove any dirt.
Step 2
Peel and rinse the onions and carrots. Finely chop the onion, and grate the carrot using a large grater. Heat a skillet until hot, pour in a little vegetable oil, then add the chopped onion and carrot. Sauté the vegetables for 1-2 minutes.
Step 3
Next, add the prepared ground meat to the skillet. Fry it with the vegetables for about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Add tomato paste to the meat, stir well, and simmer everything together for another 3-5 minutes so the tomato flavor soaks into the meat.
Step 5
Meanwhile, cut the peeled potatoes into small pieces.
Step 6
Add the chopped potatoes to the skillet with the meat mixture. Stir well, cover with a lid, and simmer for 15-20 minutes over low heat. You can add a little water to prevent the potatoes from sticking or burning.
Step 7
During cooking, the meat will be fully cooked and the potatoes will become soft. The stewed potatoes with ground meat are ready! Serve hot on plates and enjoy with fresh vegetables. Bon appétit!
