Advice
Besides pork, you can use any other meat for this dish. Keep in mind that cooking time, taste, and calorie content will vary. For example, beef takes longer to cook than pork, while chicken or turkey cooks faster.
Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. Use pork loin or neck for tenderness. Any sauce will work—tomato, adjika, tkemali, or sweet chili. If the sauce is mild, use more of it. Mustard can be of any kind, but if it’s spicy, use less. Use refined, odorless oil and seasonings of your choice.
Step 2
Rinse the meat and pat it dry. Cut it into palm-sized pieces, about 0.8 inches (2 cm) thick—this keeps them juicy. Place the meat in a bowl, add the sauce, mustard, salt, and spices (like paprika and ground black pepper).
Step 3
Mix the meat well so it is evenly coated in the marinade. Use a fork to poke a few holes in the meat. Drizzle with vegetable oil and rub it in to seal the juices inside, making the meat tender. Let it marinate for a couple of hours.
Step 4
Pour clean water into the multicooker bowl. Check your device’s capacity to avoid using too little water—it may evaporate before the cooking program ends. To speed up the process, use boiling water so the multicooker doesn’t waste time heating it. For extra aroma, add a halved onion with skin and fresh herbs. You can also add whole peppercorns.
Step 5
Place the steaming basket in the bowl and arrange the meat pieces inside. Close the lid and select the steam cooking program. If your multicooker doesn’t have this function, choose another mode based on your instruction manual. Set the cooking time for 30–40 minutes, depending on the thickness of the meat. The exact time will vary based on your multicooker’s performance.
Step 6
Check for doneness by piercing the meat with a knife—if clear juice comes out, it’s ready.
Step 7
Serve the pork with vegetables or any side dish. Enjoy your meal!
