Preparation
Step 1
How do you make buckwheat with pork in a skillet? Prepare the necessary ingredients. You can use any cut of pork - lean meat or belly with a little fat.
Step 2
Use a deep skillet with a wide bottom. Heat it well and pour in a little vegetable oil. Cut the pork into pieces of roughly equal size. Sear the meat in the hot oil on all sides until lightly golden. Stir so it doesn’t burn.
Step 3
While the meat is frying, prep the vegetables. Peel the onion and carrot and rinse under running water. Slice the onion into half-rings or a bit smaller. Grate the carrot on a coarse grater.
Step 4
Rinse the buckwheat several times in cold water, then drain well.
Step 5
Add the onion and carrot to the skillet with the meat. Stir and sauté everything together for another 3-5 minutes.
Step 6
Add the rinsed buckwheat and pour in hot water-twice the amount of buckwheat (ratio 1:2). Season with a little salt and spices to taste. Stir and bring to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat for 25-35 minutes.
Step 7
As it cooks, the buckwheat will absorb all the water. Monitor the moisture level and make sure it doesn’t start burning. Once the water has evaporated, remove the skillet from the heat. Leave the buckwheat covered to rest a bit.
Step 8
Buckwheat with pork is ready! Serve with fresh vegetables. Enjoy!
