Skillet-Braised Potatoes with Sausages
Tasty, simple, inexpensive - a quick dinner for the whole family! Skillet-stewed potatoes with sausages are made in a hurry. The ingredients are almost always on hand. Instead of sausages, you can use frankfurters, thicker sausages, or any other deli meats. You get a complete, filling family meal for every day.

Preparation
Step 1
How do you make skillet-stewed potatoes with sausages? Prepare the ingredients. You can slightly adjust the amount of sausages and potatoes either way - go by your taste. Remove the packaging from the sausages.
Step 2
Peel the vegetables - onion, carrot, and potatoes - and rinse them under running water.
Step 3
Cut the potatoes into large pieces. Finely chop the onion, and grate the carrot on a coarse grater.
Step 4
Use a deep skillet for stewing. Heat it well and add a little vegetable oil. Add the chopped onion and grated carrot. Sauté for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 5
Slice the sausages into pieces and add to the skillet. Fry everything together for 1-2 minutes.
Step 6
Add the potatoes and pour in hot water. If you like the dish more “soupy,” add more water. Season with a little salt and spices to taste. Stir everything together and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer over low heat for about 25 minutes.
Step 7
During cooking, the potatoes will become soft. In a stew, I even like them to break down a little - this makes the sauce thicker.
Step 8
The stewed potatoes with sausages are ready! Spoon into plates and serve. Enjoy!
