Sandwiches with Rye Bread and Cheese

Simple, very tasty, for breakfast or dinner, suitable for the whole family! Sandwiches with rye bread and cheese are great for festive or everyday meals. The cheese spread can be prepared ahead and applied to the bread just before serving.

Preparation
Step 1
Choose cheese to your taste. Cheese provides the main flavor for the sandwich spread. It should grate easily. Butter should be very soft - leave it at room temperature beforehand.

Boil the eggs in advance: place in water, bring to a boil, cook 7-8 minutes, then drain hot water and cover with cold water until completely cooled. Peel the eggs.

Grate the boiled eggs finely.

Grate the cheese finely and add it to the eggs.

Add soft butter and spices to the bowl. Use spices to taste: black or red pepper, aromatic herbs, or garlic. Butter can be substituted with mayonnaise or sour cream.

Mix all ingredients into a smooth, uniform spread.
Step 7
Spread the cheese mixture evenly on slices of rye bread. Optionally, garnish with fresh herbs or vegetables. Arrange sandwiches on a plate and serve. Enjoy!
