Rustic-Style Potatoes

Appetizing, delicious, and crispy - always a treat! Rustic-style potatoes are very easy to prepare on a baking sheet, even at home. They make a great side for meat, chicken, or fish, and are also wonderful with any sauce!

Preparation
Step 1
For this dish, it’s best to use oval potatoes so they look nice when sliced into wedges. If the potatoes are new, don’t peel them - just scrub well with a brush. Regular potatoes, however, are better peeled and rinsed.
Step 2
Melt butter in the microwave and add vegetable oil. Season with salt and spices to taste. You can use ground pepper, khmeli-suneli, paprika, dried herbs - choose to your liking.
Step 3
Cut the potatoes lengthwise into 4- 6 wedges. Pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture, which would otherwise prevent proper roasting.
Step 4
Coat the wedges in the prepared oil mixture. Make sure they are evenly covered on all sides.
Step 5
Use a suitable baking sheet, greasing it lightly with vegetable oil if needed. Spread the wedges evenly so they don’t touch. Place in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 30-40 minutes. Adjust to your oven. You can flip the wedges halfway through baking.
Step 6
The finished potatoes will be golden brown with a crispy crust outside and tender flesh inside. Remove from the oven, transfer to a plate, and serve hot. Enjoy!
