Rice Porridge with Meat

Preparation
Step 1
You can use any type of meat for this dish. It could be chicken, veal, lamb, or, as I did, pork. Choose the rice according to your taste. For spices, you can use ground pepper and some dried herbs, such as basil or oregano.

Rinse the rice several times in cold water. Then cover it with clean water and let it soak.
Step 3
Peel and rinse the onion and carrot under cold running water. Chop the onion finely. Grate the carrot on a large grater or cut it into small cubes.
Step 4
Cut the meat into pieces. Heat a pan until hot and pour in vegetable oil. Add the prepared meat and fry it until golden brown.
Step 5
Add the carrots and onions to the pan. Fry everything together for 3-5 minutes.
Step 6
Drain the water from the rice and add it to the pan. Pour hot water over everything. Add salt and spices to taste. Place the chopped garlic cloves on top. Cover with a lid and leave to cook for about 15-20 minutes. During this time, the rice will absorb all the water and expand in size.
Step 7
Rice porridge with meat is ready! It is delicious when served hot. Plate it and serve. Enjoy your meal!
