Preparation
Step 1
You can use any parts of chicken or take a whole chicken and cut it into pieces. I will cook with chicken drumsticks. Sour cream can be of any fat content. It can be replaced with mayonnaise.
Step 2
Rinse the chicken drumsticks under running water and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Place them in a large bowl. Rinse the mushrooms to remove dirt and cut into large pieces. You can simply halve them. Add mushrooms to the chicken.
Step 3
Separately, mix sour cream with ketchup. Add salt and spices. I added ready-made chicken spices and some dried basil. Mix everything well.
Step 4
Pour the sauce over the chicken and mushrooms. Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press. Mix everything again and let it sit for a while.
Step 5
Meanwhile, peel the potatoes, rinse them to remove dirt, and cut into large pieces. Add the chopped potatoes to the bowl and mix everything together.
Step 6
For baking, you can use any heatproof dish. I use a ceramic one. Grease the bottom and sides of the dish with vegetable oil and transfer the chicken with potatoes and mushrooms into it. Distribute evenly. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 1 hour. Adjust baking time depending on your oven.
Step 7
After baking, the potatoes will become soft, and the chicken will begin to brown. Remove the dish from the oven, serve onto plates, and enjoy your meal!
