Easy
About 20 min.
Preparation
Step 1
Wash the potatoes thoroughly and pat dry. You can use any mushrooms - wild, champignons, oyster mushrooms, fresh, dried, or frozen. The easiest version uses champignons.
Step 2
Peel the potatoes and slice them into thin rounds.
Step 3
Clean the mushrooms carefully and pat them dry with paper towels. Slice them thinly.
Step 4
Peel the onion and slice into quarter rings.
Step 5
Take the baking pots. Place a layer of potatoes on the bottom, followed by the onions.
Step 6
Add the sliced mushrooms on top.
Step 7
Pour cream into a glass, add spices and salt. I used nutmeg and ground black pepper, but you can use any spices you like. Choose any cream fat content (I used 10%). Mix well.
Step 8
Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes and mushrooms. Cover the pots with lids. Place them on a baking tray to catch any overflow. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 40 minutes.
Step 9
While baking, grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Use good-quality hard cheese that melts well and contains no vegetable fat substitutes.
Step 10
After 40 minutes, remove the pots from the oven, but don’t turn the oven off. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top of each pot.
Step 11
Return the pots to the oven without lids and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese melts.
Step 12
Serve immediately - either directly in the pots or on plates. Enjoy your meal!
