Easy
More than 1 hour.
Preparation
Step 1
If your ribs are frozen, thaw them at room temperature first. The dish tastes much better with fresh meat. You can increase the number of apples if you like. Peel the garlic.
Step 2
Rinse the ribs and cut them into serving portions.
Step 3
In a saucepan, combine honey, mustard, a couple of bay leaves, salt to taste, and your favorite spices - such as dried rosemary, basil, or a pepper mix. Squeeze in the juice of one small lemon.
Step 4
Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir until everything is well combined and smooth.
Step 5
Pour the marinade over the ribs. Press one clove of garlic and add it to the meat as well.
Step 6
Mix thoroughly so every piece of pork is coated in the fragrant marinade. Cover with plastic wrap and let marinate at room temperature for at least 1 hour. The longer the marination, the better - you can even refrigerate it overnight.
Step 7
Wash and dry the apples. Choose sweet or sweet-tart varieties. Cut them into large slices. Put the apple slices and remaining garlic into a bowl, lightly salt, drizzle with vegetable oil, and sprinkle with spices. Mix well.
Step 8
Place the apples and garlic in a baking dish.
Step 9
Lay the marinated ribs on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 430°F (220°C) for about 1 hour in top-bottom mode. In the last 10 minutes, switch to convection mode if possible. During baking, open the oven 2-3 times and baste the ribs with the rendered juices.
Step 10
Juicy ribs with apples are ready! Garnish with fresh herbs.
Step 11
Serve hot only - enjoy!
