Preparation
Step 1
How do you fry pollock cutlets in a pan? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. For the cutlets, I chose skinless pollock fillet. Thaw the fish, rinse it under running water, and pat it dry with paper towels so that excess moisture does not get into the mince, otherwise the cutlets may fall apart during frying.
Step 2
Pass the pollock through a meat grinder using the plate with the smallest holes. It is best to do this twice to make sure there are no bones in the mince. If you wish, you can also use a blender for chopping.
Step 3
Wash the potatoes under running water, scrubbing the skin thoroughly with a brush. Peel the potatoes with a vegetable peeler or a small sharp knife. Cut the potato into pieces and also pass it through the meat grinder.
Step 4
Crack the chicken egg into the mince. Add salt and dried herbs to taste. They can be replaced with finely chopped fresh parsley or dill. This will add even more flavor and aroma to the cutlets. You can choose any spices you like.
Step 5
Mix the mince with a spoon until smooth. Fish quality varies by producer, so the mince may turn out watery. It should not be like that. To fix this, simply add a couple of tablespoons of all-purpose flour to the mince.
Step 6
Shape small cutlets from the pollock mince and fry them in sunflower oil in a nonstick frying pan. Fry over medium heat for about five to seven minutes, until a golden crust forms. The frying time will depend on the individual features of your stovetop and the pan you use.
Step 7
Then turn the pollock fillet cutlets over with a spatula to the other side. Fry again until golden. Check from time to time that the cutlets are not burning. Place the finished juicy pollock fish cutlets on a plate and serve. Enjoy your meal!
