Preparation
Step 1
Use any pasta shape. Choose any type of ground meat - chicken, beef, pork, or a mix. Homemade mince is preferable for full control over ingredients.
Step 2
Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions, usually 15-20 minutes, until soft.
Step 3
Place minced meat in a deep bowl. Add chopped onion, egg, salt, and spices. Mix thoroughly until uniform.
Step 4
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a little vegetable oil. Roll small meatballs from the mixture and place them in the skillet.
Step 5
Fry meatballs on low heat 8-10 minutes until golden brown on all sides. Remove from the skillet.
Step 6
In the same skillet, sauté another chopped onion for 2 minutes until softened.
Step 7
Add tomato paste and pressed garlic to the skillet.
Step 8
Stir well and add 2-3 tablespoons of hot water from the pasta. Heat everything together for a few more minutes.
Step 9
Drain the cooked pasta; no need to rinse.
Step 10
Add pasta to the skillet, mix with the tomato sauce, then add the meatballs. Stir, heat for a couple more minutes, and serve. Enjoy!
