Pan-Fried Pork Fat
A tasty, hearty, and very aromatic snack. Pan-fried pork fat, especially with a layer of meat, always turns out very appetizing. It is best served hot, because then it is full of flavor and aroma. As it cools, the dish loses some of its taste. Any vegetables can be served as a side dish.

Preparation
Step 1
How do you fry pork fat in a skillet? Prepare the necessary ingredients. For frying, you can use pure pork fat, but I prefer pork fat with a layer of meat. Go by your own taste. To make the dish tender and soft, choose pork belly from a young pig. To be able to slice the pork fat into thin pieces, chill it slightly in the freezer first. Peel the onion and rinse it under cold running water.
Step 2
Cut the pork fat with the meat layer into pieces and place them into a well-heated skillet with a small amount of vegetable oil.
Step 3
Fry the pork fat over high heat on both sides until golden brown.
Step 4
While the pork fat is frying, slice the onion into half-rings or slightly smaller pieces. There is no need to chop it too finely.
Step 5
Add the sliced onion to the skillet with the meat and stir.
Step 6
Lower the heat and fry everything together for 5–7 minutes. During this time, the onion will become softer and lightly golden. If the pork fat is still a bit tough, cover the skillet with a lid and cook over low heat for another 10 minutes.
Step 7
Arrange the finished fried pork fat with onion on plates and serve it hot. Potato dishes, for example mashed potatoes, make an excellent side. The pork fat can also be fried on a grill. Enjoy your meal!
