A tasty, nourishing dish for a hearty dinner. Many families used to enjoy a fish dinner once a week. It is worth keeping that habit and trying another fish dish. For example, bake tilapia in the oven. It is low in fat and rich in protein.

Preparation
Step 1
How do you bake tilapia fillet in the oven simply and deliciously? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Tilapia fillet is usually sold frozen, so before cooking the fish should be thawed at room temperature. Do not try to speed up thawing by putting the fish into hot water. With such sudden thawing, both the taste and appearance of the fish will become worse. Pat the tilapia fillet dry and sprinkle it with lemon juice.
Step 2
This is necessary to soften the strong fish smell. Then rub the fish on both sides with a small amount of vegetable oil, salt, and spices. Why coat it with oil? This helps keep the fish from drying out while baking. Under the oil, it will bake more gently. For spices, I used a ready-made fish seasoning blend. All the components in it go very well together.
Step 3
Line a baking dish with a layer of foil and grease it with a small amount of vegetable oil. Finely chop the peeled onion and spread it over the bottom of the dish.
Step 4
Then place the tilapia fillet on top of the onion. The onion is needed so the fish does not start burning during baking. And of course, it will also give some of its aroma to the fish.
Step 5
Place a slice of lemon on each piece of fish. Put the dish into an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F) for 30 minutes.
Step 6
Fish cooks very quickly, and this time will be quite enough. Still, it is best for everyone to judge by their own oven.
Step 7
When serving, remove the baked lemon from the fish. It is no longer needed. Transfer the fish to a prepared plate and serve. Enjoy your meal!
