Preparation
Step 1
How do you bake chicken with mayonnaise, onion, and potatoes in the oven? Prepare the ingredients. You can use any parts of the chicken. I will be cooking chicken drumsticks. If they are frozen, thaw them beforehand.
Step 2
Peel the potatoes and rinse them well under running water to remove any dirt. Cut the peeled potatoes into large pieces.
Step 3
Peel the onion and rinse it in cold water. Finely chop the peeled onion.
Step 4
Add a little salt and spices to the mayonnaise. When adding salt, keep in mind that mayonnaise already contains some. For seasoning, you can use ground mixed pepper and dried herbs such as dill or parsley. You can also add a little minced garlic, or choose seasonings to your own taste. Coat the chicken and potatoes in the prepared mayonnaise mixture. Make sure all the pieces are evenly covered with the sauce.
Step 5
Lightly grease a baking dish with vegetable oil. Spread the chopped onion on the bottom, then arrange the chicken on top. Distribute the potatoes evenly between the chicken pieces. Cover the dish with a sheet of foil. Place it in an oven preheated to 200°C (400°F) for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and leave the dish in the oven for another 20 minutes so it can brown. Use your oven as a guide.
Step 6
You can use a ceramic, glass, or metal baking dish. Remove the finished chicken with potatoes from the oven and divide it among plates. Serve the dish hot. When serving, you can sprinkle it with a little fresh herbs. Enjoy your meal!
