Advice
You can use any meat besides pork in this dish. Just keep in mind that cooking time, taste, and calories will differ. For example, beef takes longer to cook than pork, while chicken or turkey takes less.
Preparation
Step 1
I used a 2.2 lb (1 kg) piece of pork neck, but any boneless meat works. Just don’t use pieces too large or too small, as they shrink during cooking.
Step 2
Rinse and pat the meat dry with paper towels. Rub with mustard (I used sweet, but any type is fine), salt, and dry spices like paprika, black pepper, and meat seasoning.
Step 3
Cut a piece of baking sleeve long enough to hold the meat and tie both ends. Place the meat inside, tie the ends, and avoid using metal clips. Place the sleeve in a microwave-safe dish, ends tucked under. Poke a few holes with a toothpick for steam release.
Step 4
Put the dish in the microwave. Set it to max power (mine is 750W). Cook for 25–35 minutes depending on meat size and your microwave. Mine took 30 minutes. Be careful when removing – it’s hot! Let rest, then cut open the sleeve.
Step 5
Serve hot or chilled. Cold, it’s like deli-style pork roast. Enjoy!
