Table
Table of volume measurements:
- teaspoon - 5 ml
- dessert spoon - 10 ml
- tablespoon - 20 ml
- glass - 200 ml
Preparation
Step 1
You can use any type of ground meat or a mix. It’s best to prepare it yourself, but store-bought works too.
Step 2
Peel and rinse the onion, then chop finely. Heat a skillet with a little vegetable oil and sauté the onion for 2-3 minutes until it softens and turns slightly golden.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, combine the ground meat and raw rice. Add the sautéed onion and an egg. Season with salt and spices to taste.
Step 4
Mix all ingredients thoroughly until you get a uniform mass. To make it denser, throw the meat mixture against the bottom of the bowl several times.
Step 5
For the sauce, peel the carrot and cut it into thin sticks. Sauté for 2-3 minutes with a bit of oil until soft.
Step 6
In another bowl, mix tomato juice with water. Add the sautéed carrots, tomato paste, and flour. Season with salt and spices. Stir everything well.
Step 7
Shape the meat mixture into small balls and place them into a prepared skillet.
Step 8
Pour the sauce over the meatballs and place on the stove. Bring to a boil, then simmer covered over low heat for about 30 minutes.
Step 9
The meatballs with rice in tomato paste are ready! Serve them with potatoes, buckwheat, or extra rice. Enjoy!
