Table of volume measurements:
- teaspoon - 5 ml
- dessert spoon - 10 ml
- tablespoon - 20 ml
- glass - 200 ml
Preparation
Step 1
Choose boneless chicken meat for the salad - breast fillet or thigh fillet works well. Use any cheese you like.
Step 2
Wash potatoes and carrots, place them in water, and boil in their skins until soft. No need to peel beforehand. Let them cool, then peel.
Step 3
Boil the chicken in boiling water for about 30 minutes. Add a little salt. Boil the eggs for 7-8 minutes, then drain the hot water and cool them in cold water. Peel once cooled.
Step 4
Rinse the mushrooms. Peel the onion. Finely chop the mushrooms and onion. Sauté both for 3-5 minutes. The mushrooms will shrink slightly, and the onion will soften. Let the cooked mushrooms cool. Use a paper towel to absorb any excess oil.
Step 5
To assemble the salad, use a serving ring, or you can layer it directly in a salad bowl. Place the ring on a plate. Finely chop the chicken and press it into the ring as the first layer. Lightly press it down. Spread sour cream or mayonnaise over each layer. You can alternate between the two for a creamier taste.
Step 6
Add a layer of fresh herbs in between - green onions add a nice flavor contrast.
Step 7
Grate the boiled potatoes on a coarse grater and place them as the next layer, over the green onions.
Step 8
Add the mushroom layer.
Step 9
Next, grate the boiled eggs and spread them as the following layer.
Step 10
The top layer is grated boiled carrot. Press it down gently and remove the serving ring.
Step 11
Cheese is used only for decoration, but you can add a full layer if desired. Chill the salad in the fridge before serving. Enjoy!
