Easy
About 30 min.
Preparation
Step 1
Use a rectangular, thin, fresh, and tasty lavash. Choose sweet apple varieties so you don't need to add sugar to the filling. Any fat content of cottage cheese is fine, but it will affect the calorie content.
Step 2
Wash the apples, dry them, cut them into quarters. Remove the core and peel the slices.
Step 3
Grate the apples using a large grater.
Step 4
Lay the lavash on the table with the long side facing you. Spread the grated apples on one half, leaving a few centimeters from the edges. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon. Optionally, sprinkle with sugar (I used a bit of brown sugar). You can also add raisins, nuts, or chopped bananas.
Step 5
Spread cottage cheese evenly over the apples. Gently fold the lavash edges inward. Roll the lavash tightly into a roll.
Step 6
Place the roll seam-side down on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Crack the egg into a small bowl and whisk with a fork. Brush the roll with the egg using a pastry brush. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 20-25 minutes, depending on your oven. Check the lavash color - it should turn golden.
Step 7
Serve warm - that’s when it tastes best. You can dust the roll with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy!
