Koko (Spiced Millet Porridge)

Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl, mix the millet flour or cornmeal with 1 cup of water until smooth. This prevents lumps later.
Step 2
Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a pot. Add ginger, cloves, nutmeg, and chili for aroma and flavor.
Step 3
Reduce heat to medium. Slowly pour the flour mixture into the pot while stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
Step 4
Stir continuously for about 5-8 minutes until the porridge thickens. Add more water if you prefer a thinner texture.
Step 5
Add salt to taste. Sweeten with sugar or honey if you like.
Step 6
You can serve it with koose (spiced bean fritters), bread, peanuts. bofrot/puff-Puff.
