Easy
More than 1 hour.
Preparation
Step 1
If the meat is frozen, remove it in advance and let it thaw completely at room temperature. Remove any feather remains, rinse, and pat dry with paper towels. There should be no excess water on the meat - this is very important.
Step 2
Prepare the marinade: in a deep bowl, mix vegetable oil and soy sauce. Add mustard and honey. Peel garlic cloves and press them through a garlic press (adjust quantity to taste; I used 4 cloves). Add salt if needed, but remember soy sauce is already salty. Add dry spices and ground pepper. Mix everything well.
Step 3
Place the duck breasts into the bowl and coat thoroughly with marinade. Cover with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. The longer the duck marinates, the tastier it will be - you can leave it overnight.
Step 4
Place the marinated duck in a baking dish. Put it into a preheated oven and bake until done. I baked mine at 400°F (200°C) for 50-60 minutes. If using your oven for the first time, check periodically to avoid overcooking - the meat should remain juicy.
Step 5
Pour the baking juices over the cooked duck breasts.
Step 6
Serve immediately while hot.
Step 7
Pair with fresh vegetables or salads and garnish with dill or parsley sprigs.
