Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients. You can use ground pork, beef, chicken or veal. The original recipe uses ground pork. Instead of button mushrooms, you can use wild mushrooms; prepare them appropriately beforehand according to the variety.
Step 2
Rinse the mushrooms, dry them and cut each one into 4–6 pieces. There is no need to chop them too finely. Peel the onion and finely chop it.
Step 3
Heat a frying pan, add a little vegetable oil and cook the chopped onion for approximately 1 minute, until translucent and slightly softened.
Step 4
Add the mushrooms to the pan, stir and cook them with the onion for another 3–5 minutes.
Step 5
Once the mushrooms have changed color and reduced slightly in size, add the ground meat.
Step 6
After approximately 5 minutes, season the meat with salt and spices. Ground black pepper, paprika and dried basil work well.
Step 7
Cook everything together over low heat for another 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the ground meat is browned and completely cooked through. Remove from the heat and serve hot with your favorite side dish or fresh vegetables.
