Easy
About 30 min.
Preparation
Step 1
You can use any type of meat for this recipe - pork, beef, or chicken. Just make sure to use boneless meat. I will cook with pork. Peel and rinse the potatoes beforehand.
Step 2
Cut the meat into small pieces. Use a deep skillet. Heat it until hot and add some vegetable oil. Add the meat and fry on high heat on all sides until it starts to brown slightly.
Step 3
Peel the onion, rinse in cold water, and finely chop it.
Step 4
Add the chopped onion to the meat and fry together for a few more minutes. The onion will release its characteristic aroma.
Step 5
Mix the meat with flour.
Step 6
Immediately add tomato paste. Mix everything well.
Step 7
Pour hot water into the skillet. Stir to evenly distribute the tomato paste in the water. Add salt and other spices to taste. Cover with a lid and simmer the meat for 10-15 minutes on low heat.
Step 8
Peel the potatoes and cut into small pieces.
Step 9
Add the potatoes to the skillet. Stir. You can increase the amount of water depending on the consistency you want. I prefer more sauce. Simmer the potatoes with the meat for another 20-25 minutes until the potatoes become soft.
Step 10
Goulash with potatoes is ready! Serve hot on plates. Enjoy your meal!
