Goose Stewed with Vegetables and Fruit in a Kazan
Very unusual, wholesome, filling main course. Great for picnics or for meals that don’t need constant attention. Kids like it too - pumpkin and pears add a sweet note.

- teaspoon - 5 ml
- dessert spoon - 10 ml
- tablespoon - 20 ml
- glass - 200 ml
Preparation
Step 1
Before cooking, prepare the ingredients. Slice the onion into half rings.
Step 2
Cut the pumpkin into medium cubes.
Step 3
Slice the carrots into thin half rings.
Step 4
Cut the potatoes into medium wedges.
Step 5
Slice the pear into rings less than 5 mm thick.
Step 6
Slice the apples into rings less than 5 mm thick as well.
Step 7
Cut the goose into large pieces.
Step 8
Place the goose pieces on the bottom of the kazan first, fatty side or skin side down. Cover the entire bottom surface.
Step 9
Add a layer of onion on top of the meat.
Step 10
Season with salt and pepper to taste and add coriander.
Step 11
Next, add the pear and apple.
Step 12
Add a layer of carrots.
Step 13
Before adding the whole head of garlic, make lengthwise cuts in it so it releases its juices better.

Place the bell pepper on top, whole.
Step 15
Add hot chili pepper as well, to your taste, along with the spices.

Add the potatoes.

Add the pumpkin.

Then repeat adding the spices again.

On the very top, place a bunch of herbs for aroma and pour in 150 ml (about 2/3 cup) of water. Stew over low heat for 1.5 hours. After that, the dish will be ready.
