Easy
About 10 min.
Preparation
Step 1
You can use any frozen mushrooms. I have forest mushrooms that were pre-boiled for about 30 minutes and then frozen. You may also use frozen champignons. I freeze mushrooms in bags.
Step 2
There are several ways to thaw mushrooms. You can leave them at room temperature for a few hours, place the bag in warm water, or use a microwave. Put the mushrooms in a bowl and microwave for 2-3 minutes until slightly thawed, so you can remove the bag.
Step 3
Return the mushrooms to the microwave for another 3-5 minutes until fully thawed. Drain excess water.
Step 4
Heat a skillet over high heat and add a little vegetable oil. Add the mushrooms and fry for 3-5 minutes to let extra moisture evaporate.
Step 5
Peel the carrot, rinse, and grate it. Add the carrot to the mushrooms. Fry another 1-2 minutes.
Step 6
Meanwhile, peel and finely chop the onion.
Step 7
Add the chopped onion to the skillet with the mushrooms. Mix everything. Season with salt and a little ground pepper. Avoid adding too many spices so as not to overpower the natural mushroom flavor.
Step 8
Cover the skillet with a lid and cook over low heat for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat, serve hot on plates. Enjoy!
