Preparation
Step 1
You can use minced meat of any kind. I usually mix half pork and half beef. The mince can be homemade by grinding the meat yourself or store-bought.
Step 2
To prepare the mixture, take a deep bowl and combine both types of minced meat. Peel the onion, rinse it under cold water, and grind it using a meat grinder or chopper. Add the minced onion to the bowl with the meat.
Step 3
Then add an egg. Season with salt and spices to taste. At this stage, I also add mayonnaise - it, along with plenty of onion, makes the patties very juicy. Even when cold, they remain tender and delicious. Mix all ingredients thoroughly until smooth and lightly beat the mixture against the bottom of the bowl to improve texture.
Step 4
Roll small portions of the meat mixture in breadcrumbs and shape them into patties.
Step 5
Heat a little vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the patties and fry on both sides for 3-4 minutes each, until golden brown. Avoid using high heat - the patties should cook through inside without burning outside.
