Easy
About 20 min.
Preparation
Step 1
You can use any mushrooms. I will cook with boiled wild mushrooms. Fresh mushrooms were washed and boiled for about 30 minutes. If using champignons, you can cook them raw immediately. Instead of tomato paste, you can use tomato juice.
Step 2
Take a deep skillet. Heat it until hot and pour a little vegetable oil. Add the mushrooms and fry them for 5-7 minutes until they start to brown.
Step 3
Peel and rinse the onion and carrot. Chop the onion and grate the carrot. Add the onion and carrot to the skillet with mushrooms and fry together for another 3-4 minutes until vegetables soften.
Step 4
Meanwhile, thinly shred the cabbage.
Step 5
Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet. Mix everything and cover with a lid. Reduce the heat. In about 5 minutes, the cabbage will reduce in volume.
Step 6
In a separate glass, dissolve the tomato paste in water.
Step 7
Pour the tomato sauce into the skillet with cabbage. Add salt and spices to taste. Mix well. Simmer the cabbage with mushrooms covered for another 15 minutes.
Step 8
During simmering, the cabbage will become soft. Remove the skillet from heat, serve the dish on plates, and serve hot. Enjoy your meal!
