About 1 hour.
Preparation
Step 1
Prepare all the necessary ingredients. You can use any type of meat, but for this recipe, pork is recommended. Choose boneless meat, such as loin. Mushrooms can be replaced with any other variety, but champignons work best.
Step 2
Cut the meat into portions and tenderize it with a meat mallet. To prevent tearing, cover the meat with plastic wrap while pounding.
Step 3
Use any ovenproof baking dish; ceramic is a good option. Grease the bottom and sides with vegetable oil. Arrange the tenderized meat pieces in the dish and season with salt and spices.
Step 4
Rinse the mushrooms thoroughly, pat them dry, and slice them into thin pieces.
Step 5
Heat a frying pan over medium heat, add a little vegetable oil, and sauté the mushrooms for 5-7 minutes until they shrink in size. Add a pinch of salt.
Step 6
Distribute the sautéed mushrooms evenly over the meat pieces, setting aside a few slices for garnish.
Step 7
Peel the onion and slice it into half-rings. Cut the tomatoes into slices and layer them over the meat and mushrooms.
Step 8
In a separate bowl, grate the cheese. Add mayonnaise and minced garlic, then mix well.
Step 9
Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the tomatoes. Top with the reserved mushroom slices.
Step 10
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 30-40 minutes. Cooking time may vary based on your oven, so keep an eye on it. After 15-20 minutes, you can cover the dish with aluminum foil to prevent excessive browning of the cheese. During baking, the meat will release a lot of juices, keeping it moist and flavorful. Once done, serve hot and enjoy your meal!
