Easy
About 30 min.
Preparation
Step 1
Take small-sized onion and carrot. That’s enough to make a small bed for baking the fish. Any white fish can be used. I use pike-perch. You can use fish fillets or pieces with bones. Frozen fish should be removed from the freezer and thawed in advance.
Step 2
Cut the fish into serving pieces and pat dry to remove excess moisture.
Step 3
Mix mayonnaise with fish seasoning. You can add a little garlic for aroma. If the mayonnaise is not very salty, add salt. Coat the prepared fish with the mayonnaise sauce.
Step 4
Peel and rinse onion and carrot. Grate the carrot coarsely and chop the onion. Use any oven-safe dish for baking. Lightly grease the bottom and sides of the dish with vegetable oil. Evenly spread onion and carrot in a layer over the dish.
Step 5
Place the fish coated in mayonnaise on top. Spread the remaining mayonnaise over the fish. Preheat the oven to 356°F (180°C) and bake the dish for 30 minutes.
Step 6
The fish cooks quickly and releases juice. Sprinkle grated cheese lightly on top and leave in the oven for another 5-7 minutes.
Step 7
Fish baked with mayonnaise is ready! Remove the dish from the oven, serve portions of fish on plates, and accompany with rice or mashed potatoes. Enjoy your meal!
