Dessert with Persimmon and Cottage Cheese

Preparation
Step 1
Choose non-astringent persimmons. You can skip honey or replace it with a sugar substitute. Cottage cheese of any fat content will work; I used fat-free. This dessert is great because it contains no added sugar and only natural ingredients.

Wash the persimmons, pat dry, remove stems and seeds. If the skin is too tough, peel it as well. Cut the fruit into small pieces. You can also make this dessert with other fruits or berries, like kiwi, strawberries, cherries, or peaches.

Place the prepared persimmon into a blender and puree until smooth. Transfer the purée into a bowl because you’ll still need the blender.

In the blender bowl, add cottage cheese, natural yogurt, and honey.

Blend everything until smooth and creamy. Adjust the ratio of cottage cheese to yogurt according to your preference. More cottage cheese and less yogurt will make the mixture denser.
Step 6
In dessert bowls or glasses, layer the cottage cheese mixture with the persimmon purée. This recipe makes about 2-3 portions, depending on serving size.
Step 7
Sprinkle the dessert with poppy seeds and sesame seeds. Garnish with mint and serve immediately. Enjoy!
