Cottage Cheese with Herbs and Garlic
Aromatic, savory, and very appetizing. Quick to make. Cottage cheese with herbs and garlic can be served for breakfast or an afternoon snack. It is delicious on its own, but it can also be used as a spread for bread or toast, for stuffing eggs or tomatoes, and even as a filling for buns and other baked goods.

Preparation
Step 1
How do you make cottage cheese with herbs and garlic? Prepare the needed ingredients. Use homemade cottage cheese, preferably with a higher fat content, ideally 9-18%. Use any fresh herbs you like. I used cilantro, but dill, parsley, basil, green onion, and other herbs will also work very well.
Step 2
Mix the cottage cheese with a fork. If you are using store-bought cottage cheese, it is best to press it through a fine sieve for a smoother texture.
Step 3
Salt the cottage cheese. I use regular sea salt, but you can also use seasoned salt. At this stage, those who like spicy food can add a little chili, and those who enjoy a more savory taste can add other seasonings.
Step 4
Rinse the herbs very well with hot water, then dry them with paper towels. Finely chop the herbs. If you do not have fresh herbs, dried herbs will also work. Dried dill, parsley, and green onion are widely available. Still, the dish will be more wholesome if you add fresh herbs.
Step 5
Add the minced garlic to the cottage cheese. I pressed the garlic clove through a garlic press, but you can also grate it or finely chop it with a sharp knife. Fresh garlic can be replaced with garlic powder. Let the cottage cheese sit for a little while at room temperature, then serve.
Step 6
Tasty and wholesome. Enjoy your meal!
