Easy
About 20 min.
Preparation
Step 1
Add all the ingredients to the bread machine: cottage cheese, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, sugar, salt, semolina, and butter. The higher the fat content of the cottage cheese, the softer the bake will be. The order of adding the ingredients does not matter, although some bread machine manuals specify a particular sequence - you can follow it if you prefer.
Step 2
The most important step is choosing the right program. The casserole mixture should be mixed for about 10 minutes. Suitable settings include “Dough,” “Pasta,” or “Dessert.” Once the ingredients are combined, smooth the top with a spatula. The pan can be any diameter: the smaller the diameter, the thicker the casserole will be. If you enjoy dried fruit, feel free to add raisins or dried apricots - but only after the mixture has finished kneading. Otherwise, the dried fruit will turn into a purée instead of remaining in pieces.
Step 3
Next, switch on the baking program and bake for 45-50 minutes. Do not remove the casserole from the bread machine for another 15-20 minutes after the program has finished.
Step 4
I recommend letting the baked casserole cool slightly. Alternatively, you can refrigerate it for a few hours and serve it cold - like a cheesecake.
Step 5
You can additionally drizzle the top with sweetened condensed milk. Garnish with seasonal berries or fruit and enjoy!
