Preparation
Step 1
Sift the flour through a sieve in advance to enrich it with oxygen. Use one large egg or two small ones.
Step 2
In a large bowl, pour in the milk and add the egg. Mix.
Step 3
Then stir in the sour cream and add a little salt and spices to taste. Mix until smooth. You can use a mixer for this.
Step 4
Gradually add the sifted flour with baking soda to the bowl, mixing into the batter. You may need a little more or less flour than the recipe indicates. Focus on the batter’s consistency, not the exact amount.
Step 5
The finished batter should be neither too runny nor too thick. It should leave traces but still merge back into a uniform mass.
Step 6
For the filling, finely shred the cabbage. You can lightly squeeze it with your hands to soften it.
Step 7
Use a springform pan (about 6 inches / 16 cm). Line the bottom with parchment paper and grease the sides with vegetable oil. Pour half of the batter into the bottom of the pan.
Step 8
Spread the prepared cabbage over it.
Step 9
Pour the remaining batter over the cabbage and sprinkle the top with sesame seeds. Place the pan in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 40 minutes. Adjust baking time according to your oven.
Step 10
The baked pie will rise slightly and turn an appetizing golden color. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Take the pie out of the pan and serve.
Step 11
Enjoy your treat!
