Easy
About 30 min.
Preparation
Step 1
You can use any part of the chicken for the soup. Peel the potatoes and rinse to remove dirt.
Step 2
Place the prepared chicken in water and bring to a boil. Foam will form - remove it. Simmer chicken on low heat for 20-30 minutes. Lightly salt the broth.
Step 3
When the chicken is cooked, remove it from the broth and separate the meat from the bones. Strain the broth. If you like the chicken very tender, return it to the broth at this stage. Otherwise, add the meat at the end of cooking. Return the pot to heat and bring to a boil again.
Step 4
Cut the peeled potatoes into small pieces and add them to the boiling broth. Cook for about 20 minutes.
Step 5
Meanwhile, prepare the sauté. Peel and rinse the onion and carrot. Grate the carrot and finely chop the onion. Heat a little vegetable oil in a pan and sauté the vegetables for 3-4 minutes on low heat.
Step 6
Add the sautéed vegetables to the soup pot. Add garlic pressed through a garlic press. Season with salt and spices to taste. A bit of ground pepper is enough. Cook together for another 3-5 minutes and remove from heat.
Step 7
Chicken Potato Soup is ready! Serve into bowls and enjoy your meal.
