Easy
About 20 min.
Preparation
Step 1
Use boneless chicken breast. Sour cream should be about 15% fat.
Step 2
Peel the onion and carrot, rinse under running water. Chop the onion not too finely, and grate the carrot on a large grater.
Step 3
Cut the chicken into small pieces and dredge in flour. Make sure each piece is evenly coated.
Step 4
Preheat a skillet, add a little vegetable oil. Place the onion and carrot inside and sauté for 2-3 minutes on low heat until softened.
Step 5
Add the floured chicken pieces. Stir and fry together for 2-3 minutes until the meat changes color.
Step 6
Pour a little water into the skillet. Add salt and spices (ground peppers and some paprika). Stir, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Chicken cooks quickly. If you like more gravy, add more water.
Step 7
At the end of cooking, add sour cream. Stir and heat for another 2-3 minutes, then remove from the stove. Optionally, add garlic for aroma.
Step 8
The chicken gravy with sour cream is ready! Serve with rice, buckwheat, or pasta. Enjoy your meal!
