Easy
About 20 min.
Preparation
Step 1
Use any number of chicken drumsticks. For 4 servings, use 4 drumsticks. Green peas can be fresh or frozen. You can also use broccoli, green beans, or cauliflower, or skip vegetables entirely.
Step 2
Rinse the drumsticks under running water. Place them in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Skim off the foam that forms. Boil for 15-20 minutes. You can leave the drumsticks whole or remove the meat from the bones and return it to the broth.
Step 3
Peel potatoes, rinse, and cut into small pieces. Add the potatoes to the pot with the drumsticks.
Step 4
After about 15 minutes, add noodles and green peas. Cook for another 5 minutes.
Step 5
Meanwhile, peel the onion and carrot. Chop the onion finely and grate the carrot. Heat a little vegetable oil in a pan and sauté onion and carrot for 2-3 minutes.
Step 6
Add the sautéed vegetables to the soup. Season with salt and spices to taste. Cook for a few more minutes, then remove from heat.
Step 7
Chicken Drumstick Soup is ready! Serve hot in bowls.
