Preparation
Step 1
I will use champignon mushrooms, but you can replace them with any mushrooms you like. Take boneless chicken breasts. Rinse thoroughly under running water and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Step 2
Cut the chicken breast meat into pieces of roughly equal size. You can substitute turkey or any other meat if you prefer.
Step 3
Heat a frying pan until hot and add a little vegetable oil. Add the prepared chicken pieces and fry over high heat for 3-5 minutes. The chicken should start to brown.
Step 4
While the chicken is frying, prepare the mushrooms and onion. Wash the champignons and cut them into 2-4 pieces. Mine are small, so I cut them in half only. Peel the onion, rinse under cold water, and finely chop. You can use any other mushrooms instead of champignons.
Step 5
Add the mushrooms and onion to the pan with the meat. Mix everything together and fry for another 2-3 minutes. Then pour a little hot water, cover the pan with a lid, and simmer the chicken with mushrooms for 15-20 minutes.
Step 6
In a separate glass, mix the flour with cold water. Adjust the amount of water to your preference, depending on how much gravy you want.
Step 7
At the end of cooking, pour the flour-water mixture into the pan with the chicken. Add salt and spices. Stir everything, bring to a boil, and heat for another minute.
Step 8
The chicken gravy with flour and mushrooms is ready! Remove the pan from heat and serve. This goes well with rice, buckwheat, or pasta. Enjoy your meal!
