Easy
About 30 min.
Preparation
Step 1
I used chicken breast, but you can also take drumsticks or thighs.
Step 2
Wash the chicken and pat dry. Rub it with salt and spices, then wrap in foil.
Step 3
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 25 minutes. Cooking time may vary depending on your oven. Cool the chicken completely. You can also boil or pan-fry it.
Step 4
Cut the chicken meat into small cubes.
Step 5
Wash the eggs and hard-boil them. To prevent cracking, place them in cold water and bring to a gentle boil over low heat. Cook for 7-8 minutes after boiling starts, then cool in cold water. This helps the shells peel more easily. Set aside two whites and a little yolk for the top layer. Cut the rest into small cubes.
Step 6
Cut pickled cucumbers into small cubes.
Step 7
Wash and dry the bell pepper. Remove seeds and stem, then cut into small cubes like other ingredients. Reserve a small piece for decoration.
Step 8
On a suitably sized plate, place the chopped chicken, shaping it into a bunny’s face.
Step 9
Spread a layer of mayonnaise over the chicken. You can also use sour cream or natural yogurt, alone or mixed with mayonnaise, to reduce calories.
Step 10
Add a layer of pickled cucumbers and spread mayonnaise over them.
Step 11
Next, add a layer of chopped boiled eggs, topping with mayonnaise.
Step 12
Then add the chopped bell pepper and mayonnaise.
Step 13
Grate cheese on a fine grater. Use hard, semi-hard, or processed cheese.
Step 14
Sprinkle cheese over the salad, both on top and sides.
Step 15
Boil carrots until tender, cool, and peel. Grate them finely.
Step 16
Grate the egg whites finely.
Step 17
Lightly spread mayonnaise over the salad’s top and sides. Cover with grated egg whites. Use boiled carrot for part of the bunny’s ears. Mix the rest of the carrot with a bit of mayonnaise to form a bow. Make eyes and nose from olives, a mouth from bell pepper, sprinkle yolk around the nose area, and make whiskers from herb sprigs. Decorate as desired.
Step 18
Let the salad sit in the fridge for a while, then serve at the festive table. Enjoy!
