Easy
About 20 min.
Preparation
Step 1
You can use any type of meat: pork, beef, chicken, or lamb. I will use pork.
Step 2
Rinse the meat under running water and cut it into small cubes.
Step 3
Turn on the multicooker to the “fry” mode and wait until it heats up. Add a little vegetable oil and the meat cubes. Fry for 8-10 minutes until they start to brown. Do not close the lid.
Step 4
Peel the onion and carrot, wash them, grate the carrot on a large grater, and finely chop the onion. Add them to the meat, stir, and fry for another 2 minutes. The vegetables will give a pleasant aroma.
Step 5
Rinse the buckwheat several times in cold water, then drain it completely.
Step 6
Add the rinsed buckwheat to the meat in the multicooker bowl, pour in hot water (about 2.5 cups / 600 ml), add salt and spices to taste. Stir and close the lid. Switch to the “stew” mode for 20-25 minutes (depending on your multicooker).
Step 7
After the set time, check if there is water left. The buckwheat should swell and absorb almost all the liquid. If a little water remains, continue cooking for another 5-10 minutes.
Step 8
Stir the finished buckwheat porridge with meat, serve hot in bowls. A fresh vegetable salad will be an excellent addition. Enjoy!
