Beef Stroganoff

A simple and tasty dish for the whole family in just 40 minutes! Beef Stroganoff turns out flavorful, tender, with a delicate creamy aftertaste. Anyone can make it on the first try. This recipe works with any fillet meat.

Preparation
Step 1
Choose young, boneless meat for cooking.
Step 2
Cut the beef into thin strips across the grain, about 0.4 in (1 cm) thick.

In a hot skillet, melt some butter and add the sliced meat. Fry for 3-5 minutes until it changes color and begins to brown slightly.
Step 4
Peel the onion, rinse it in cold water, finely chop, and sauté in butter in another skillet. Cook 3-4 minutes until it becomes soft and translucent.
Step 5
Add flour to the sautéed onion and stir well. Fry for another couple of minutes.
Step 6
Pour hot water or broth into the onion mixture. Bring to a boil. As it heats, it will thicken into a sauce.
Step 7
Pour the sauce over the meat. Add salt and spices to taste. Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 20-25 minutes until the meat becomes tender. If necessary, add more water.
Step 8
At the end of simmering, add sour cream to the skillet. Stir and heat together for another 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
Step 9
Let the dish rest under the lid for about 10 minutes. Beef Stroganoff is ready! A very versatile dish that pairs well with any side. Enjoy!
