Preparation
Step 1
You can use any type of tomatoes: plum, regular, or cherry. Feel free to adjust or substitute vegetables to taste. This salad can also be made with turkey, pork, or beef.
Step 2
Wash the chicken breast, pat it dry, and cut into strips.
Step 3
Place the sliced chicken in a bowl. Add soy sauce and ground pepper. Mix well and let marinate for 20-30 minutes.
Step 4
Clean the bell pepper from seeds and stem, then slice into thin strips.
Step 5
Wash, dry, and slice the tomatoes into wedges. If using cherry tomatoes, cut them in half. Choose firm, juicy tomatoes, as soft ones lose shape and may turn into mush during cooking.
Step 6
Wash and dry the salad leaves. You can use a mix (like arugula with radicchio) or just one type of lettuce, or even Chinese cabbage.
Step 7
Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat. Add the chicken with the marinade and fry, stirring, for about 5 minutes.
Step 8
Add the bell pepper to the skillet with the chicken. Fry together, stirring, over medium heat for another 3-5 minutes.
Step 9
Place the salad leaves on a plate. Top with the fried chicken and bell pepper, then add the tomato slices.
Step 10
Drizzle the salad with the remaining vegetable oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds. No extra salt is needed since the soy sauce is salty enough. Serve the warm salad immediately. Enjoy!
