Preparation
Step 1
Prepare the dough and filling: Thaw the puff pastry. Mince or finely chop the turkey thigh fillet (you can also use turkey breast, chicken, or replace the meat with beef, pork, or lamb). Slice the onion into half rings or quarter rings. Mix the turkey with the onion, add salt, pepper, and vegetable oil, then mix again.
Step 2
Shape the pastries: Lightly flour the surface and place the puff pastry sheet on it. Cut the dough into squares about 6×6 cm (2.5×2.5 inches). Roll each square out slightly. Place a spoonful of filling in the center. Fold each square diagonally to form a triangle and pinch the edges to seal.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 180-190°C (356-374°F) and prepare the samsa for baking: Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Arrange the pastries on the tray. Lightly beat one egg and brush the tops of the pastries. Sprinkle with white sesame seeds. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown. Baking time and temperature may vary depending on your oven. Transfer the baked samsa to a plate and serve slightly cooled.
