Traditional Yorkshire pudding

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 220°C.

Prepare the batter by whisking together flour, eggs, seasoning, and a blend of milk and water until smooth and lump-free. There’s no need to let it rest, so it can be made just before baking.
Step 3
Heat oil in a roasting tin in the oven, then transfer the tin to the stovetop over medium heat until the fat is shimmering and lightly smoking.
Step 4
Pour in the batter, tilt the tin to spread evenly, and return it to the oven.
Step 5
Bake on a high shelf for 40 minutes, or until puffed, golden, and crisp. Cut into squares and serve immediately.
