Tomato, Cheese, and Mayonnaise Salad with Garlic

Step 1
How do you make a salad with tomatoes, cheese, mayonnaise, garlic, and egg? Prepare everything you need. It is best to use seasonal tomatoes, as they are more aromatic and flavorful. Fleshy and firm tomatoes work especially well. You can also make the salad with cherry tomatoes, which are slightly sweet and will make the salad taste brighter.
Step 2
First, boil the eggs. Cover them with cold water and place them over low heat. Gradually heating the water helps prevent the eggs from cracking during cooking. As soon as the water heats up, turn the heat to high, and after it comes to a boil, reduce the heat back to low. Cook the eggs covered until done, about 15-20 minutes.
Step 3
Cool the boiled eggs and peel them.
Step 4
Peel the garlic. Press it through a garlic press or grate it on a fine grater. Add the garlic to the mayonnaise and mix everything well.
Step 5
Wash the tomatoes and cut them into small cubes.

Add the cheese, grated on a coarse grater, to the tomatoes.
Step 7
Cut the eggs in half, chop 3 halves into cubes, and leave the fourth half for decorating the salad. You can also use a coarse grater to chop the eggs, whichever you prefer. Add the eggs to the cheese and tomatoes.
Step 8
Add the mayonnaise to all the ingredients. You can use either store-bought or homemade mayonnaise.
Step 9
Carefully mix the salad with a large spoon and check whether it needs more salt. If necessary, add salt to taste, I usually add 2 pinches. Transfer the finished dish to a salad bowl.
Step 10
Grate the remaining egg half on a fine grater. Grate it directly over the salad, trying to distribute the white and yolk evenly over the surface. Put the salad into the refrigerator for 10 minutes so it can rest.
Step 11
Before serving, sprinkle the finished dish with allspice if desired and decorate with fresh herbs. It is ready to serve.
