Preparation
Step 1
How do you make thin pancakes with sour milk? Prepare all the necessary ingredients. Sift the flour through a sieve a couple of times. A tip: flour can vary a lot in moisture, gluten content, and other properties, so it is better to sift a little extra flour and add it to the batter in portions. You may need a little more or a little less flour. The main goal is to achieve the right consistency.
Step 2
For making the pancake batter, use a tall bowl so the batter does not splash while mixing. Crack the eggs into the bowl and add a little sugar and a pinch of salt.
Step 3
Then pour the vegetable oil and the sour milk into the bowl.
Step 4
Add the flour to the batter in 2 or 3 additions so you can adjust the amount, along with a pinch of baking soda, and mix everything well. You can use a mixer to get a smooth consistency.
Step 5
The finished batter should be thin and pourable. Thin pancakes are made from a thin batter.
Step 6
Heat a pancake pan until hot. Before the first pancake, lightly grease the pan with vegetable oil. Pour a little batter into the hot pan and spread it over the entire surface in a thin layer. Fry the pancakes on both sides over medium heat until golden.
Step 7
Stack the finished pancakes one on top of another and cover them with a lid so they do not dry out. Serve the pancakes with jam, sweetened condensed milk, or sour cream. They are very tasty with tea, coffee, milk, or fruit compote. Enjoy your meal!
