Preparation
Step 1
How to make a layered “Tenderness” salad with chicken, prunes, walnuts, and cucumber? Prepare the ingredients. Boil the chicken fillet and eggs in advance and let them cool. Add the chicken to boiling water and simmer about 30 minutes in lightly salted water. Boil the eggs 7-8 minutes in boiling water. Drain the hot water and cool the eggs in cold water. Rinse the fresh cucumber under running water.
Step 2
Pour boiling water over the prunes and let stand 5 minutes. Drain, then rinse the prunes again in cold water. Pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut the softened prunes into small pieces. Chop the walnuts and toast them in a dry skillet for a few minutes until fragrant. Transfer to a plate so they don’t burn in the hot pan.
Step 3
You can assemble the salad in one bowl or make individual portions. For the first layer, add finely chopped chicken fillet and gently press with a spoon. Spread this layer and all following layers with a small amount of mayonnaise. You can use not only fillet: boil any chicken parts, then remove the meat from the bones after cooking.
Step 4
Add the chopped prunes as the second layer.
Step 5
Cut the fresh cucumber into small cubes and add as the next layer.
Step 6
Add a layer of toasted walnuts - they’re very aromatic!
Step 7
For the final layer, add eggs grated on a grater. Lightly press on top. Remove the ring mold and chill the salad in the refrigerator. The tender salad with chicken, prunes, and walnuts is ready. Enjoy!
