Tartlets with Cream Cheese, Cucumber, and Fish

Spectacular, elegant, and quick - perfect for any celebration! Tartlets with cream cheese, cucumber, and fish are an excellent appetizer for a festive table. They’re made in just minutes and disappear from the table first. You can also add other seafood like red caviar or shrimp.

Easy
About 30 min.
Preparation
Step 1
You can replace the cream cheese with any other cheese: processed cheese, feta, bryndza, or ricotta. If the tartlets are medium-sized, you’ll need about 10 pieces. If they’re small, this amount of filling will be enough for around 20 tartlets. You can use store-bought tartlets or make them yourself.
Step 2
Wash the cucumber, pat it dry, and slice it into thin rounds. If the skin isn’t tough, damaged, or bitter, there’s no need to peel it. I didn’t peel mine.
Step 3
Slice the fish fillet into long thin strips. I used pre-sliced fish, which saved me time. If you’re using a whole piece of salted fish, it’s better to freeze it slightly beforehand for easier slicing. You can use any fish: red, white, salted, lightly salted, smoked, etc. Salmon, trout, pink salmon, chum salmon, salmon, herring, mackerel, and others are suitable. You can also use canned fish like saury in oil. I used red fish.
Step 4
You can fill the tartlets with cheese using an ordinary spoon, but I transferred the cheese mixture into a piping bag with a star-shaped nozzle.
Step 5
Insert the cucumber slices vertically around the inside edge of the tartlets, overlapping slightly. It’s better to use tartlets with a small diameter, but if you have larger ones, that’s fine too. The appetizer still looks good in them.
Step 6
Roll the red fish slices into small rings and place them inside the cucumber border.
Step 7
Pipe the cream cheese into the empty center of the tartlets in the shape of little rosettes.
Step 8
Garnish each tartlet with herbs. I used parsley. Serve the appetizer immediately. Enjoy your meal!
